Bugoharjo House

Bugoharjo (pronounced “boo’go har’joe” ) has one air conditioned bedroom and can accommodate up to 3 people. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and an en suite bathroom with a shower. In the main living room, a day-bed can accommodate one more guest. All beds are draped with mosquito nets and all rooms are cooled with ceiling fans. There is access to a second bathroom and shower directly from the living room.

The living room has couches and chairs and a large dining table. An expanse of folding glass doors leads from the living room onto a wrap-around porch and a private patio overlooking the woodland reserve and river. Adjacent to the living room, a fully equipped kitchen also lets onto the patio.

A resting pavilion below the patio is accessed across a lotus pond and borders directly on the woods. With views through the trees down to the river, it is a peaceful corner from which to enjoy the early morning birds and the colors of the sunset.

Services

The staff we employ are trained on-the-job. They don’t have hotel-school backgrounds, but are excellent cooks.

Facilities

The center of the property hosts a 15-meter lap pool, with a shallow corner for relaxing.

Grounds

Umajati is set in half a hectare (one acre) of rice field, coconut grove, and woodland bordering the Tirta Tawar River.

Location

Umajati is 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) northeast of the center of Ubud, and a 10-minute ride by our complimentary local shuttle.
